Tawny Frogmouth Owl

$77.95

Tawny Frogmouths are often confused with owls, but they're actually more closely related to nightjars. Their feet are weak and lack the curved talons of owls. Tawny Frogmouths often camouflage among tree branches, sleeping during the day. At dusk they shake their disguise and begin a nocturnal hunt for food that can be found in flight or by sitting motionless before swooping down on ground-dwellers preyed upon from above. The perfect gift for those who love night skies or birdwatching enthusiasts.

Care instructions:

Nothing needs to be done once you have installed your Metalbird.
Simply step back and enjoy a piece of Australian garden art. Over time it will develop a natural patina and turn a golden-brown colour.

Installation:

Simply tap the bird with a hammer until the tip of the branch is buried about 3cm into the timber.
If you're finding it difficult because the timber is too hard, drill a small pilot hole and then tap the bird in.

Enjoy your native Australian Metalbird in your garden!

Material: 3mm Corten steel - designed to rust and age beautifully over time.
